Well I wrote this song to tell you
It's not wrong to cry yourself
Well I wrote this song to tell you
It's not wrong to be yourself
And I sat alone
and talked awhile to the wall
It's my friend
(Cause im strange and I don't care)
So I told myself we would live a happy life together
(Don't care what you think)
So I hold it all this fear inside
I let it go when i said i forgive you
(I tried, I really tried)
But i'm sitting in a fear loop of what i said not confidently
(Not confident enough
Not confident enough)
Im loving you
So hold on forever
Don't forget yourself
If you need to cry it's fine
Just forget it's time
Never forget to love yourself in time
I said never forget to love yourself in time
Love yourself in time
Love yourself in time
I wrote this song to tell you
It's okay that you don't smile everyday
(Why you not smiling, kid)
Well i wrote this song to say
I don't have to worry today
I still will anxiety's a bitch you know
If you get sad
If you get lonely
It's okay just reach out for help
When you feel alright to do so
Don't live this hell alone
If you feel alright
If you are buried by the tone
Don't forget to reach your hand out
You have every right to shout you're not okay
I'm not okay today
I'm not okay today
Don't pressure me this way
I just wanna sleep all day
You have a right to say
You love yourself
It just takes time
(I tell ya it takes a whole lotta of time i'm still not there)
I'm losing touch sometimes
I'm slippin' back under in mind set
Don't let it ruin what you got
But if it does it's okay
Just forgive and forget
Say you love yourself
Move on and out of this personal hell
It's funny how they try to change your mind
A set becomes one in time
It's fun y how they try to change your mind
But love yourself and not forget
I wrote this song today to say
It's okay to cry

“Hand Picked From Other Baskets” is a greatest hits album compiled by the Robo Jack Records team that gathers 17 songs from various projects by singer/songwriter Jebb, including his solo work, his bands Your Friend Jebb, Jebb & The Riots, The Sane Riot and Jebb and Slim, and his side project Lonely Isle. Musically these songs swing back and forth between genres, including power pop, folk rock, indie rock, punk, and even weird and experimental stuff. They also swing back and forth between hi-fi, lo-fi and even less-fi! But it’s all undeniably Jebb, and it all does a great job showing off his very diverse and prolific career thus far.
